Salary is between $38.86/hour to $47.10/hour depending on level of experience

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Under direct supervision, collects, segregates, processes, and prepares radioactive waste for shipment to off-site burial sites in accordance with appropriate State and Federal Regulations.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.) Performs warehousing duties such as receiving, storage, inventory, and staging of Radioactive Material. 2.) Uses a computer- based system to maintain inventory, movement, and storage of radioactive material. 3.) Operates respirator cleaning and testing equipment to allow the reuse of respiratory protection devices. 4.) Performs monthly testing and maintenance of respiratory protection devices at various emergency response locations. (Vendor certification required for SCBA) 5.) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or equivalent. Other: 1.) Job requires rotating shiftwork, including holiday and weekend work, working outdoors in all conditions, climbing, work from ladders and platforms, exposure to heat, dirt, noise and radiation. 2.) Must satisfactorily complete radiation safety training, including respirator qualifications. 3.) Must pass U.S. Dept. of Transportation-required chemical test. 4.) Must be able to meet and maintain the requirements of unescorted access at a nuclear power plant
