Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job)

Under the direction of the Park Maintenance Director and/or his designee, prepares the ground for flower beds, arranges flower beds, weeds, and trims beds. Performs related work as required.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares soil for beds, plants, and seeds.
- Works beds and pots plants.
- Transfers plants to beds.
- Plants grass.
- Trims hedges and prunes flowering bushes and shrubbery.
- Removes dirt, rubbish, leaves, and refuse.
- Performs related work as required.
Minimum Entrance Qualifications:
- Applicant must have two (2) years of paid experience as a Gardener.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
- Must have and maintain a valid Massachusetts driver's license.
Pre-employment physical required.
CORI check required.
