Overview:

Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):
Under supervision, operates light and medium automotive equipment and other motor equipment not requiring special skills; performs labor work and does related work as required.
Responsibilities:
- Operates passenger cars, station wagons, half-ton pickup trucks, three-quarter-ton panel trucks, or other types of trucks having a rated capacity of less than five tons.
- Operates various types of motorized grass and weed cutters which carry the operator.
- Loads and unloads trucks; transports men, material, and equipment to and from work.
- Performs manual labor work when not operating vehicles.
- Makes adjustments and minor repairs to motor equipment; changes tires, oil, and battery.
- Performs labor work such as: cleans, sweeps and mops floors of park buildings; loads rubbish, manure and dirt onto trucks; carries pipe and other heavy equipment and materials.
- Rakes leaves, picks up papers, and refuse.
- Shovels snow, sweeps sidewalks, cuts grass, lines fields, and does related work as required.
- Performs related work as required.
Minimum Entrance Qualifications:
- One (1) year of experience is required in related work.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Massachusetts Driver's License.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment physical exam.
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
- CORI background check required.
- Must be able to work any assigned shift or any assigned work location.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
