About the role

CDP is seeking a highly motivated, with excellent relationship-building and analytical skills to support CDP policy strategy and its day-to-day activities. He/she will support project management activities and monitor agenda related to top priorities such as Climate Goals, legislation of native vegetation protection (Forest Code) and sustainable jurisdictions, carbon pricing and disclosure of climate financial related information. This will enable CDP Latin America to have a more proactive and assertive role advocating for better informed policy decision making and greater climate ambition setting among Party and Non-Party Stakeholders.

Who you are

  • Must reside and be eligible to work in the location stipulated above.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, Spanish is an advantage.
  • Graduation or specialization in International Relations, Economics, Law, Public Relations, Policy Management, Public Management (Administration), Environmental Management/Engineering will be an advantage.
  • Analytical skills – working with data and research will be an advantage.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • The ability to meet deadlines.
  • Superior writing skills and grammar: must be able to accurately communicate technical information in a concise, yet comprehensive manner to policy markets.
  • The desire to take ownership and responsibility for areas of work.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.

Your day-to-day

  • Project management activities, such as policy programme presentations, policy mailing list, policy dashboard and policy monitoring tools.
  • Support the elaboration of policy briefs, factsheets, reports, MoUs, case studies and disseminate them among different actors.
  • Support registration and logistics of CDP national and international events.
  • Support day to day implementation of project activities in accordance with an annual project plan.
  • Engage with state governments to report States and Regions Questionnaire and support the states in the reporting process.
