Our Global Mobility practice focuses on expats and companies with global talent and tax implications. We recognizes the unique challenges that companies face with cross-border workers. We help company HR, tax, and payroll teams understand and navigate the considerations of complying with and optimizing global tax requirements for their mobility programs and employees. Our consulting professionals provide comprehensive strategic international income tax, social security tax, payroll tax, and assignment planning tax services.

What you’ll do:

The Global Mobility Services Experienced Tax Associate is responsible for the support of a full range of expatriate services:
Prepare U.S. individual income tax returns and tax equalization calculations for inbound and outbound international assignees.
Participate in arrival and departure tax meetings for expatriates and in-patriates.
Preparation of U.S. payroll estimates including hypothetical tax and shadow payroll calculations.
Communication with corporate clients and their assignees.
Assist with various consulting projects including, but not limited to, compensation, internal client policies and other ad hoc activities.
Conducting tax research, and reviewing tax authority notices.
Coordinate with and act as a resource to our complimentary workforce teams.
Assist with practice management responsibilities such as reviewing and tracking compliance reports, and client billing.
Collaborate and build relationships with Baker Tilly member firms around the world.
Help provide technical guidance to tax professionals firm-wide.
Learn and grow from direct and on the job coaching and mentoring along with participating in firm wide learning and development programs.
Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients.

Successful candidates will have:
An undergraduate degree in Accounting or related field required.
GPA of 3.0 or above preferred
Interest in pursuing a CPA, MST or EA.
At least one (1) + year(s) experience with individual income tax issues. Experience with foreign national and expatriate issues, foreign tax compliance, and the tax equalization process are a plus.
An eagerness to work on a variety of international tax projects.
Eligibility to work in the U.S., without sponsorship, highly preferred.
The compensation range for this role is $69,000 to $121,840. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
