Job Description:

Responsibilities

The Compensation Analyst will be an integral part of the compensation team in planning, developing, and administering compensation programs, policies, and procedures. They will be responsible for maintaining pay structures, conducting market pricing, completing market surveys, and analyzing compensation data.

Research

  • Develop and support the execution of new and revised compensation programs, policies, procedures.

  • Plan, coordinate and execute the annual market review process to identify pay trends/market movement and validate that current pay practices are competitive and cost effective.

  • Monitor and analyze external compensation information such as government regulations, market data, surveys, and trends.

  • Participate in compensation and benefit surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information.

Administration

  • Manage the administration of the firm’s compensation programs, with emphasis on the midstream and annual compensation review processes. Work with the team of Business Partners on compensation needs/reports to support these processes.

  • Collaborate with People Solutions team members on development and maintenance of job creation, job classification, salary/pay grades, and job descriptions in accordance with internal standards, pay transparency laws and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Assure firm compensation program audits and reports are consistently administered in compliance with firm policies and government regulations.

  • Partner with others in the identification and implementation of process enhancements and develop new applications for compensation systems and tools.

Analysis

  • Prepare analysis, modeling and/or recommendations related to total compensation, including salary and variable/incentive pay plans.

  • Support the midstream and annual compensation review cycles by providing detailed analysis regarding merit processes and budget issues.

  • Use published or conduct ad hoc surveys to obtain and analyze market pay rates. Prepare reports on findings and handle administrative steps to formalize recommendations.

  • Develop and run reports and data extracts; provide special project support as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Human Resources or related field.

  • 1- 3 years of experience with financial or data analysis, familiarity with compensation analysis and design of base and specialty pay programs desired.

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation a plus.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to identify, evaluate, interpret, and organize data

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated focus on client service and business acumen.
